本文从“结构－功能”的视角，分析了公元１５世纪至２０世纪中叶，西双版纳傣族不同社会等级使用的较为典型的人名系统，着重分析了该系统的乳名、从佛名、还俗名和官名的结构形式、文化内涵和社会功能，揭示出傣族社会等级制度对人名的制约作用。另外，还论证了傣族官名在贵族翁级与平民百姓之间存在的差异，提出傣族不同社会等级和不同僧阶的还俗名使用期限各不相同。
From the perspective of “structure - function”, this paper analyzes the typical system of names used by different social classes in the Dai nationality in Xishuangbanna in the 15th century to the mid 20th century. It focuses on analyzing the system ’s name, including the name of Buddha, common name and official name The structure, cultural connotation and social function of the Dai people, revealing the restrictive effect of the Dai social hierarchy on names. In addition, it also demonstrates the difference between the official name of the Dai nationality and the ordinary people in the aristocrat level, and proposes that the term of use of the different names of the Dai people and different names of the monastic rank varies.
