丽江地区地处滇西北高原,金沙江上游,东与四川省攀枝花市及凉山州接壤,南连本省大理、楚雄自治州,西北与本省怒江、迪庆自治州毗邻。全区辖丽江纳西族自治县、宁蒗彝族自治县、永胜县、华坪县,共有69个乡(镇),144个行政村(办事处),总人口106万人,有纳西、彝、傈僳、白、普米、傣、苗等20多个少数民族,占总人口的56％以上。全区幅员面积20600平方公里,
Lijiang region is located in the northwestern plateau of Yunnan, the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, east and Sichuan Province Panzhihua City and Liangshan State border, south of the province Dali, Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture, northwest and the province Nujiang, Diqing Autonomous Prefecture adjacent. There are 69 townships (towns) and 144 administrative villages (offices) in Lijiang Naxi Autonomous County, Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, Yongsheng County and Huaping County with a total population of 1.06 million. There are Naxi, Yi and Xunyi , White, Pumi, Dai, Miao and other more than 20 ethnic minorities, accounting for more than 56% of the total population.
