在我国目前三大经济地带中,西部地区属于经济发展的“低谷”地带。迅速发展西部地区的经济,以逐步缩小与东、中部地区经济发展水平的差距,保持我国经济整体协调地向前发展,是我国区域经济目前面临的主要问题之一。对西部经济发展的区情有个深入全面的了解,揭示其内部各地经济发展的相似差异性,评价其经济发展水平的高低,则是正确制订西部地区未来经济社会发展战略的一个重要前提。
In the current three major economic zones in our country, the western region belongs to the “trough” of economic development. Rapid development of the economy in the western region in order to gradually narrow the gap with the level of economic development in the eastern and central regions and maintain the coordinated development of our economy as a whole is one of the major problems currently facing the regional economy in our country. Having a deep and comprehensive understanding of the situation of economic development in the west and revealing the similarities and differences between the economic developments in different parts of the country and appraising the level of its economic development is an important prerequisite for correctly formulating the future economic and social development strategy in the western region.
