Paul Lafargue (1842-1911) is a famous Marxist theorist and propagandist in France. He is also a comrade and student of Marx and Engels. His life has made a significant contribution to the defense and development of Marxist philosophy. Studying Lafargue’s elucidation and defense of historical materialism has a great significance for us to understand and understand Marxism better today and also has a significant enlightenment for us to promote the development of Marxism in China.
