山西省人民政府赴英访问考察团一行11人在山西省副省长彭致圭的率领下,于1997年11月9日至11月17日访问了英国的钢铁、电力、煤炭、能源等工业企业。这次访问是作为英国贸工部于1996年4月访问山西后所作的回访。访问的目的是了解英国有关的一些公司、工厂及研究机构当前的生产及科研情况,探讨他们在技术、设备、资金等方面与山西有关行业合作的可能性;同时也为英国贸工部与山西省的友好合作加强联系。
An 11-member delegation from the People’s Government of Shanxi Province visited the UK and visited the UK’s steel, electricity, coal, energy and other industrial companies from November 9 to November 17, 1997, led by Peng Zhigui, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province. The visit was a return visit made by the British Department of Trade and Industry after visiting Shanxi in April 1996. The purpose of the visit was to understand the current production and scientific research situation of some companies, factories and research institutions in the UK, and to discuss the possibility of cooperation with relevant industries in Shanxi in terms of technology, equipment, funds, etc.; and also for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Shanxi The province’s friendly cooperation has strengthened links.
