Objective To understand the prevalence and risk stratification of hypertension in outpatients. Methods Epidemiological studies of the cross-sectional nature. By adopting the internationally-standard method of on-site measurement and questionnaire survey, 18 hospitals were selected in 8 cities in northern, southern and central China (including 10 tertiary hospitals, 6 secondary hospitals and 2 primary hospitals). ) A special survey was conducted on patients aged 35 and above who came to these hospitals for internal medicine, gynecology and other outpatient services. Results A total of 970 3 people were investigated in this survey. Level 1 hospitals, secondary hospitals, and tertiary hospitals were selected for 12 16 (12 5 %), 2 32 4 (24%) and 618 (6 3 3) cases respectively. %), The gender and age ratios are basically balanced. The proportion of people suffering from hypertension in the surveyed population reached 46.5%, and both men and women increased with age. In the first-, second- and third-tier hospitals, the proportion of hypertension patients in the outpatients was 5 8%, 5 15%, and 42 8%, respectively. The detection rate of hypertension patients was 10 6 % , of which 10 7 % in internal medicine, 7 9 % in gynecology and 11 % in other subjects, accounting for 2 28 % of all patients with hypertension. The risk stratification shows that the proportions of low, medium, high, and extremely high risk are 32%, 21.4%, 20%, and 54.9%, respectively. The average blood pressure in all layers fell to the level I of hypertension. Conclusion The incidence of hypertension is higher among people over 35 years old, and most of them are high and very high risk patients.
