上海作为中国近代最大的工商业城市,在经济发达的同时,社会亦呈现出复杂的一面。在上海社会、经济以及文化的构建过程中,为数众多的工商业团体发挥了巨大的作用,成为我们理解民国时期上海各方面发展不可回避的一个面相。在1921年上海虹口北四川路发生的“换香水”枪击案,使得外国人霸占的租界社会一下子紧张了起来,其中重要原因即是上海的各个工商业团体联合起来进行了不懈抗争。而从此次枪击案所引发的中外博弈当中,可以让我们更好的透视民国时期上海租界社会的一些复杂面貌和生活在租界下层社会人群的悲惨命运以及透过小人物的死亡来审视大历史背景下的上海工商业团体在抗争过程中所想要表达的时代话语和象征意义。
As the largest industrial and commercial city in modern China, Shanghai has a complicated economy while it is prosperous. In Shanghai’s social, economic and cultural construction, a large number of industrial and commercial groups have played a huge role in our understanding of the unavoidable aspect of Shanghai’s development during the Republic of China. In 1921, the “perfume” shootings that took place in Sichuan’s northern Sichuan province led to a sudden tension in the concession community dominated by foreigners. The important reason was that the various industrial and commercial groups in Shanghai united in their unyielding struggle. From the Chinese and foreign games triggered by the shootings, we can better understand the complex conceptions of the society in Shanghai concession during the Republic of China and the tragic fate of the people living in the lower concession and the death of minor figures to examine the historical context Shanghai business and industry groups in the process of protest want to convey the discourse of the times and the symbolic significance.
