王效荣(1908—1990),回族,河南省沈丘县东关人,出身于武术世家,五岁时其父开始教他站桩、拿顶、腰功、劈叉和关东拳由于他天资聪慧,少年时就因耍石锁及掌力过人而名噪乡里,三十岁时去上海谋生,开办“六合武馆”,在上海滩擂台赛中打败洋人。新中国成立后,他进入上海市体委工作,任武术队总教练和上海武术联谊组组长,后来又当选全国武术协会委员、上海市武术协会副主席。
