在研究双穗型[2]、单穗型[1]和单双穗型[1~+,有一定比率的双穗株]玉米自交系的亚硝酸还原酶活性时,发现各型苗期1~3片展开叶的亚硝酸还原酶的活性最强,而且苗期活性的强弱与以后各期的强弱完全一致。[2]、[1~+]和[1]各型苗期,1~8片叶的亚硝酸还原酶活性强度分别为0.1290、0.0783和0.0628微克分子数/1克绿叶·2小时,[2]与[1~+]或[1]之间的差异显著,t测验均超过1%的显著水平。试验还发现:高配合力的自交系的亚硝酸还原酶活性一般都高于同型的其它自交系,至于亚硝酸还原酶的活性强弱与配合力的高低是否有必然联系,有待进一步研究澄清;研究仍在进行当中。
