冷水花是荨麻科多年生草本植物,株高30～40厘米,叶对生,椭圆形,叶脉间有银白色的斑块,是美丽的观叶植物。原产亚洲热带地区,北方多作盆栽,江南各地常作地被植物布置花坛绿地,花叶依依,十分可人。在常规栽培条件下,如室温过高,光照不足,常出现徒长现象,株丛过高,不适宜窗台或写字台上摆放。笔者试用多效唑5ppm水溶液(每升水中加入5毫克国产15％可湿性多效唑粉剂)进行处理,效果颇好。多效唑一次配好装瓶,随时浇用,植株明显矮化,叶节间变短,叶片层叠生长,株高仅5～7厘米,叶色鲜绿,白斑也更明亮。如选择磁釉浅盆或水仙盆种植,摆放写字台一侧,在自然光照或较强的散射光下,会有良好的观赏效果。用多效唑培养水凤仙、秋海棠、万年青等,也都能得
