文学与道德之纠缠始终是一种争议纷纭的话题,谈者皆有其理由。然而当我在文字中浮沉数年以后,又有了一些新的想法。记得英国人王尔德说过一句话:“文学就是撒谎。”王尔德可能是文学史上第一个敢于冒天下之大不韪地公然宣称文学就是撒谎的大作家。他提出这一观点,我猜想是有一个目的:告诫人们不要从道德角度来评判文学,因为撒谎是恶德,根本无须讨论。文学作品固然有好坏,但好坏不在于是否善,也不在于是否
Entanglement of literature and morality has always been a topic of controversy, and there are reasons for both of them. However, when I was floating in the text for years, I got some new ideas. Remember Willy, the British, said: “Literature is a lie.” Wilde may be the first writer in the history of literature to bravely declare that literature is a lie. He put forward this view.
