2007年8月20~24日,中国·焦作第四届国际太极拳交流大赛在古称山阳的河南省焦作市拉开帷幕,来自世界各地的两千多名太极拳爱好者参加了大赛。在这次大赛上,我们组建的《中华武术》会员俱乐部代表队初次亮相。这也是中央级媒体首次组队参加武术国际大赛。这支由老中青三个年龄段的运动员组成的代表队,在教练员、太极拳世界冠军邱慧芳的带领下,经过四天的艰苦鏖战,共获得3块金牌、1块银牌、8块铜牌和集体24式太极拳第八名。这不菲的战绩,让人瞩目,也让参赛的八名运动员乐开了花,都说:“《中华武术》杂志第一次组队参加比赛,就取得了这么好的成绩,这是为《中华武术》争得了荣誉。”
