带抛磨过渡区的侧边抛磨光纤波导传输特性分析

根据侧边抛磨光纤实验结果,建立了带抛磨过渡区侧边抛磨光纤的三维光学波导模型,用三维有限差分光束传输法计算和分析了侧边抛磨光纤的光传输特性。带抛磨过渡区光纤波导模型的计算结果与实验吻合较好,此模型较好地反映了在侧边抛磨光纤中的光功率传输特性。计算分析表明,侧边抛磨区的长度对侧边抛磨光纤光传输特性有影响,但在抛磨区长度小于一定数值时,传输损耗并不随抛磨区长度的增加而单调增加。侧边抛磨光纤中,传输光由于抛磨过渡区的存在,光功率的衰减随包层剩余厚度的变化关系不是单调的,存在多值现象。侧边抛磨区覆盖物折射率对光传输特性的影响较大,特别是对光衰减影响很大。侧边抛磨区覆盖物宽度和高度的变化也使光功率传输损耗呈振荡变化。 According to the experimental results of side polished optical fiber, a three-dimensional optical waveguide model with side-polished optical fiber at the polishing area was established. The optical transmission characteristics of the side-polished optical fiber were calculated and analyzed by three-dimensional finite difference beam transmission method. The calculation results of the fiber waveguide model with the polishing zone are in good agreement with the experimental ones. The model better reflects the optical power transmission characteristics in the side polishing fiber. The calculation and analysis show that the length of the side polishing zone affects the optical transmission characteristics of the side polishing fiber. However, when the polishing zone length is less than a certain value, the transmission loss does not monotonically increase with the increase of the polishing zone length. Side of the polished fiber, the transmission of light due to the presence of polishing transition zone, optical power attenuation with the thickness of the remaining thickness of the relationship between the relationship is not monotonous, there are multiple values. The influence of the refractive index of the side polishing area cover on the light transmission characteristics is great, especially the light attenuation is greatly affected. Changes in the width and height of the side polishing area cover also fluctuate the optical power transmission loss.
