四川汶川“5.12”大地震的发生,造成了大量的人员伤亡,我们虽然在医学救援中取得了巨大成绩,但从战略、长远角度分析,也还存在不少问题。主要是我们尚未建立、完善灾难医学(disaster medicine)的研究与应对策略。概括而言,灾难医学是研究各种自然灾害和人为事件所造成的灾害性损伤条件下实施紧急医学救援,后续治疗,灾后与次生疾病防治、灾区防疫和卫勤保障与管理等领域的一门科学,也可以说灾难医学是一项系统医学工程,它与急救医学既有紧密联系,又有显著区别。近年来,许多国家、地区都相继组建了专门的灾难医学研究机构和制订了应对策略;而我国地域辽阔,人口众多,各种灾难频发,相比而言,我们在这方面尚存在较大差距。希望政府及卫生行政主管部门与公立大型医院都能高度重视,充分发挥我们社会主义制度的优越性,尽快建立、完善灾难医学的研究机构与应对策略,努力提高我国灾难医学的科研、救治、卫勤保障、指挥与管理水平。本期选载了部分参加“5.12”汶川大地震的医学救援单位专家和医务人员的论文,可供参考、借鉴。
