我国高等院校至今尚未设置医学编辑学专业。依靠“无师自通”、“自学成才”以及传统的师带徒等方式培养医学编辑的问题,早已引起了社会各界,特别是医药卫生界和医学编辑界的关注。高等院校开办医学编辑学专业,培养具有医学科学知识背景的复合型编辑出版专业人才,符合我国高等教育培养大学毕业生的要求,也符合编辑出版学的“大编辑学”发展方向的基本理论。分析了医学编辑学专业课程设置、教学模式和培养目标等方面要求,以及各类高校的办学特色和学科优势,从增加(医学编辑方向)、创办、联办等角度,探索高校开办医学编辑学专业的可行性,并提出了具体的建议。
