模拟煤壁俗称假煤壁,是一种模拟煤炭岩层性能的人工浇筑混合料混凝土,主要用于实验室进行模拟工作面采煤工艺的重要基础设施,煤壁混凝土以煤作为骨料,与水泥、水、减水剂拌合而成,同时填充大块成品煤,混合浇筑完成后具有煤的层理和节理构造。为了最接近井下煤层的物理结构特征,模拟煤壁需采用按一定时间间隔分层连续浇筑的施工工艺,该工艺主要包括模板工艺、现场浇筑工艺、振捣方法、拆模与养护方法等,模拟煤壁结构层煤骨料分布均匀,稳定性较好,整体颜色较黑,接近煤层。
