唐·德里罗的小说文本《大都会》(Cosmapolis)于2012年被拍成了同名电影。其所呈现的跨媒介叙事性及非自然叙事属性得以在“可然世界”里展现在其读者、隐含读者及受众与隐含受众面前。其作者—导演、隐含作者—制片人、显性叙述者—主角、隐性叙事者—替补演员以及非自然叙述声音—配角等叙事主体就凭借叙述声音、叙述聚焦和叙述时间等叙事框架叙写,从而以身体叙事策略演绎了两种文本所试图形塑的原型类型、身份认同或阙如、认知身体符号叙事及其进程乃至忠实性等叙事学、符号学与改编学要件。
