高铭暄先生,祖籍浙江玉环县,见证并亲历了新中国刑法事业从无到有、由粗至精的历程,是推动中国刑法学理论发展的学界泰斗。1947年,在同时被复旦大学、武汉大学、浙江大学录取的情况下,高铭暄选择就读浙江大学法律系。他说,选择法律专业,在高中时期就基本确定了,这当然得益于当时曾历任杭州地方法院(相当于现在的杭州市中院)推事和浙江高等法院(相当于现在浙江省高院)审判员的父亲的言传身教……
