1955年Guillemin等首先报道下丘脑中存在一种刺激垂体分泌ACTH的促肾上腺皮质激素释放因子(Corticotropin Releasi-ng Factor,CRF),几微克该物质即能显示很大活性,其化学本质是肽类。这个发现是内分泌学领域中的一项振奋人心的进展,其后陆继发现了多种释放激素。下丘脑肽类神经激素代表着中枢神经系统与内分泌系统的联系方式之一。 CRF很早即已引起重视,但迟至1981年方始有人报道其结构为41肽,并阐明了羊下丘脑CRF的化学结构,合成的羊CRF随即问世。按IUPAC-IUB生物化学命名委员
In 1955, Guillemin et al first reported that there is a hypothalamic Corticotropin Releasing-ng Factor (CRF) that stimulates the secretion of ACTH from the pituitary gland. A few micrograms of this substance can show great activity, and its chemical essence is peptides . This finding is an exciting development in the field of endocrinology, followed by the discovery of multiple release hormones. Hypothalamic peptide neurohormones represent one of the ways in which the central nervous system interacts with the endocrine system. CRF has attracted much attention recently, but as late as 1981, it was reported that its structure was 41 peptide, and clarified the chemical structure of sheep hypothalamus CRF, synthetic sheep CRF came out.
