艺术是一样很神奇的东西,既可以自娱自乐、独善其身,也可以娱己娱人、兼济天下。其中,兼济天下的那一部分艺术被称作public art,即公共艺术。公共艺术的诞生并非是艺术家为了抒发自己的情感或观点,而是完全从城市规划和公众生活的角度出发,美化环境,美育社会,以艺术的方式让社会生活变得更加美好。在西方社会,公共艺术已经成为艺术创作中的重要一项,也是公众日常生活中必不可少的点缀。
Art is just as magical as it is to entertain oneself, to be good at one’s own thing, to entertain oneself and entertain others.
