这个学期上了一门新课《中国绘画史》,罕见的有两位原来修过我的课的学生成了回头客,一位是美术史系的二年级生,另一位则是美术系的应届毕业生,来自芬兰的威尔·兰琵(Ville Lampi)。威尔去年春季修过我开的《当代中国美术史》,作为一个国际学生,他考试和论文写作的突出表现令人印象深刻,是个非常聪明而且用功的学生。前两周威尔给了我一份请柬,原来是他们的毕业作品展。展览3月25号开幕(图1),我上楼参加他们的开幕式,倒也简单,什么仪式都没有,只是楼下的门厅
This semester was a new lesson in the history of Chinese painting. It was rare that two of the students who had originally taken my course became repeat visitors, one was a sophomore in the history of fine arts and the other was an art department. Fresh graduates from Finland, Ville Lampi. Will opened my “History of Contemporary Chinese Art” which I opened last spring. As an international student, his outstanding performance in exams and essay writing is very clever and hard working.
