1988年9月17日人民日报一版刊登了一幅题为《为难的爸爸》的照片,在社会上引起了强烈反响,许多具有民族责任心的同胞从全国各地伸出温暖的手,有的发电报、有的写信、有的汇款,纷纷寄语因交不起学费和集资费而辍学的12岁的女中学生陈伍月,“赶快去读书,完成初中学业”。为何这幅照片具有如此的吸引力?关键是作者抓住了当今人们共同关心的“热点”,使人们透过照片看到教育的倾斜这一社会问题,从而折射出了新闻摄影的社会功利及其责任的亮点。
