Technical equipment manufacturing is one of the important signs of a country’s overall strength. Its level of product import and export also reflects the international competitiveness of a country. Internationally, there is no uniform standard for the allocation of technical equipment. China is now called “equipment manufacturing industry,” and broadly includes various industries that provide investment-type mechanical and electrical products in the machinery and electronics industry. Its products include systems, mainframes, parts and components. I. Import and Export of China’s Technology Equipment Products According to customs statistics, in 2000, the total import and export of China’s technical equipment products reached 169.471 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 35.73% of the country’s total import and export volume, and accounted for the import of electromechanical products nationwide.
