泉州市位于福建省东南部,晋江下游。东临东海,西和南安县接壤,南与晋江县相邻,北连仙游县,东北以小洛阳海与惠安县为界。它地处亚热带,气候温暖,雨量充沛。75年月平均温度12. 2(12月)～28. 5℃(7月),年平均温度20. 8℃,年降雨量1,345。4毫米。地势北高南低,地形以丘陵与平原为主,部分山地。布以灌溉沟渠,少数池塘源自晋江支流。种植水稻及旱地作物。本地区有班氏丝虫病流行,偶有“乙脑”发生,为此我们于1961年4-9月和1975年7月-1976年6月对蚊头进行了调查观察,现将初步结果报导如下,供防病灭蚊参考。
