Food animals such as cattle and sheep long for green - as is biogas plants today. CLAAS has been turning to rangeland and pasture harvest since the mid-20th century. The machines introduced include balers, lawn mowers and the most important stalk crushers. Now CLAAS can provide a complete silage machine product chain, which are independent research and acquisitions and credit. In the autumn of 1997, in the small town of Sauerdau in South Deb x {5ee5} hed - 50 km north of Lake Constance, people did not feel the peace after a successful harvest. In this town of only 17,000 people, CLAAS, the largest enterprise, is opening up a big event. In the space of two weeks, there will be 7,000 visitors worldwide to participate in this quiet little town’s largest event - “World Grass”.
