The typical postcolonial theory, represented by Homi Baba, has profoundly deconstructed the nationalist identity. Homi Baba deconstruct national narrative mainly from three aspects: firstly, it reveals the internal hybrid and contradiction of national identities in general; secondly, it reveals the composition of the performance strategies which are rich in diversity in national narrative The confrontation of the instructive strategy of seeking unity; and thirdly, the further identification of identities by ethnic groups and immigrants after deconstruction. However, the nation’s imagination construction and its identity psychology all have profound historical and cultural origins, and it can by no means be dismantled through the dismantling of a single rational narrative.
