As a unique resource of modern newspapers, the newspaper archives have been widely used in major newspaper-led decisions and the sustainable development of newspaper industry. The effective utilization of newspaper archives is the basis for the management of newspaper archives. Recognizing the characteristics of the newspaper archives, breaking through the bottlenecks in newspaper archives management, guaranteeing the quality of newspaper archives in order to improve their utilization rate, broadening the access to newspaper archives and expanding the scope of their utilization, are particularly necessary for the sustainable development of newspaper industry.
