The report of the U.S. House Appropriation Committee recommended that the investment in “national ignition devices” should be adjusted to 3.646 billion U.S. dollars in the next financial year. The original application amount was 1.949 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.677 billion U.S. dollars. Recommendations include allocating $ 124.7 million to the Inertial Restraint Fusion from the Technical Foundation and Plant Preparation Program and $ 25 million for further development of high average power lasers. ?
