One film esthetician has said that “from the perspective of style as a general feature of the art form, even eclectic mixing of styles can become a style.” The “Shanghai School” “The film is such a brilliant blend of abstraction in personality. Located in the heart of the Pacific Rim, Shanghai is one of the earliest industrial cities in China and one of the ”immigrant“ cities that lacked the foundation of its own traditional culture. From the mid-19th century onward, it has formed a cultural atmosphere in which people of various nationalities in different regions mix with each other, the collision of Chinese and Western cultures, the coexistence of modern civilization and conservative ideas. Echoing this, the film ”Shanghai School“ has the characteristics of being open-minded and paying attention at the very beginning. In my opinion, the aesthetic features of the ”Shanghai School" generally appear in three aspects: pioneering, utilitarian and follow-on.
