600 students dress as Harry Potter to celebrate 20th anniversary of The Sorcerer’s Stone.
600名学生打扮成哈利·波特,庆祝《魔法石》出版20周年。
A group of more than 600 students gathered in one place and dressed as Harry Potter to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first book in the series.
一群600多名的学生聚集在一个地方,打扮成哈利·波特,庆祝该系列第一本书出版20周年。
England book publishers Bloomsbury Books shared a photo of the hundreds of students as they set the Guinness World Record for most people dressed as Harry Potter in one gathering.
英国书籍出版商“布鲁姆斯伯里图书”分享了一张有数百名学生的照片,他们创下了打扮成哈利·波特人数最多集会的吉尼斯世界记录。
A total of 676 students from 11 primary schools gathered in front of Smithills Hall dressed in Gryffindor ties, glasses, wands and scars while standing line for five minutes to break the world record.
一共有來自11所小学的676名学生聚集在史密斯山大厅前。他们一身哈利波特装扮:格兰芬多领带、眼镜、魔杖和伤疤,排成一行站了5分钟,打破了(吉尼斯)世界纪录。
The previous1 world record was set in 2015 in West Sussex and featured2 521 Harry Potter’s.
之前的世界纪录是2015年在西苏塞克斯郡由521名哈利·波特创造的。
Organizer Anne Burns was very happy after achieving the record. “I am so happy and can’t stop smiling,” she said. “I knew that we had around 600 children supposed to be coming but the final number we had was brilliant.”
组织者安妮·伯恩斯很高兴获得了这个记录。“我太高兴了,笑个不停。”她说,“我知道我们大约有600多名孩子会来,但是我们最终的人数太棒了。”
Councillor John Byrne, Bolton Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Youth and Sport, commended the children and the organizers for achieving the record.
伯尔顿文化、青年和运动委员会委员约翰·拜恩这样评价孩子们和组织者完成了这个纪录:
“The logistics were fantastic. All the equipment3 was waiting for the children so it was in great order,” he said. “The children were brilliant4 though too because they had to be patient while they waited.”
“后勤干得好极了,所有的器材就绪等着学生,因此很有秩序。”他说,“孩子们也很棒,因为在等待的时候,他们必须要很有耐心。”
