温度是调节杂草发生消长的主要因素。根据恒温箱试验,稗草、马齿苋等春夏间杂草在10—20℃时发芽,45℃以上发芽不良,以30—40℃发芽最好;看麦娘、硬草、猪殃殃等冬季杂草在2—25℃内发生,以10—20℃为最好;小藜等春秋间杂草在5—30℃内发生,以10—25℃为最好。另外,上述杂草发芽,在变温条件下比在恒温条件下好。于田间分期播种小藜、稗草、看麦娘种子,观察出苗情况和土表温度,并算得发芽起点温度:稗草为8.28℃、小藜为3.72℃、看麦娘为1.58℃。二种试验方法得出的结论相似。
