长期以来,人们对有害生物采取的防治大都侧重单项防治措施.但是单项措施的作用有一定限度,在对象上和时间上往往不能同时满足各个方面的要求(如:生物防治的对象比较专一,不能兼顾同时出现的其他害虫;作物的抗病虫品种常因病虫产生新型系而丧失作用;农药具有一定广谱性,但也会因病虫产生抗性而失效或因使用过度而出现副作用).因此,综合治理的思想就应时而生.近年来,有害生物综合治理涉及的内容日益广泛深入,已从局限于消灭病虫草害保护作物扩展到保护生态环境、分析经济效益、根据社会的利益来调节生产者与消费者的关系等方面.完整的综合治理体系需要从有关的各个方面取得情报信息,进行运算判断和采取行动.按照Ruesink所表述的害虫综合治理系统概括如图1.
