中国科学院遥感卫星地面站于1986年12月正式投入业务性运行以来已有三年多了。在这时期内,先后克服了运行初期所遇到的各种技术性和非技术性的困难,通过对这套复杂的高技术系统的消化、吸收、开发与扩充,地面站运行顺利,功能不断有所增强。到目前为止,已经接收TM数据近3万景,生产出经系统校正的数字产品约2千景,光学存档胶片达2千余幅,并为国内外300个左右的客户提供上万件航天遥感产品。这些航天遥感数据在资源勘察、土地利用、灾害防治和环境监测等方面发挥重要作用,获得重大经济效益。
