通过动物实验证明,补气活血方、补气方和活血方均能降低实验性肺气虚证大鼠红细胞聚集性、血液粘度和红细胞压积。前两方除上述作用外,还能减低红细胞刚性,增强红细胞变形能力。但在抑制该模型高聚、高粘状态作用上,补气活血方显著优于补气方和活血方。因此,可以认定对肺气虚证的血瘀状态,只有补益肺气,辅以活血化瘀,才能最有效地促进气血运行,改善组织器官的供血供氧。进一步证实了气对血的推动作用、生化作用的科学性
