介绍了日本智头线用HOT7000系列和HOT3500系列液力传动内燃动车的结构、性能和主要技术参数。HOT7000系列动车的动力装置为2台261kW(355马力)的卧式直接喷射增压柴油机。采用了可控摆式无摇枕转向架。该动车组由2辆头车和3辆中间车编成,最高时速为130km;在25‰的坡道上持续速度达95km/h。HOT3500系列内燃动车的动力装置为1台261kW柴油机,其带空气弹簧的二轴转向架不设摆动装置,最高时速为110km。两种动车的部件在设计上尽可能做到了一致。
