番茄(Tomato.Lycopersicum esculentum Mill)目前仍采用种子育苗法,需较多的温床设备或材料,育苗期长,用工量多,占地面积大;定植后生育期也较长,病害严重,限制了产量和经济效益的进一步提高。浙江省农科院园艺研究所利用番茄侧枝水插育苗获得成功,并开始推广应用。经笔者试验,水插育苗因插条发根前6~8天缺乏营养,使营养苗第一果穗发育不良,甚至完全退化脱落,产量和效益不够理想。本试验改水插育苗为营养液扦插育苗。二年试验结果表明,营养液育苗不但较种子育苗方法简单,育苗时间短(9~13天),占地面积小,而且较水插育苗发根快而多,育出的苗较壮,方法更趋简化。经栽培试验,第一果穗发育良好,病害轻、植株紧凑、矮化,便于田间管理,产量接近或高于种子苗,经济效益高。故利用番茄侧枝进行营养液育苗是番茄育苗的一条有效途径。
