百尺无寸枝,一生自孤直。意思是:高高的松树是那样的笔直,它连一个分叉都没有。比喻为人应像松树那样具有坚贞不阿的品质。出自唐代宋之问《题老松诗》。百川并流,不如海者不为川谷。比喻学习或休养如果半途而废,就不能取得进步。出自《淮南子·泰族训》。百川赴海返潮易,一叶报秋归树难。意思是:百川赴海回潮是容易的,但秋叶落下后很难再回到树上了。比喻青春一去便不复返了。出自唐代鲍溶《始见二毛》。百发失一,不足谓善射;千里步不至,不足谓善御。
