1980年,英国人斯特·威廉姆斯创作出版了一本名为《化妆舞女》的儿童读物,要小读者根据书中的文字和图画猜出一件“宝物”的埋藏地点。“宝物”是一枚制作极为精巧、价值昂贵的金质野兔。读了该书后,不但数以万计的青少年,甚至连各阶层的成年人也怀着浓厚的兴趣,按自己在书中得到的启示,在英国各地寻宝,历时两年多,在英国的土地上留下了无数被挖掘的洞穴。最后,一位48岁的工程师在伦敦西北的浅德福希尔村发现了这枚金兔,一场群众探宝的运动才告结束。而这时《化妆舞会》已销售了200多万册。
In 1980, Brit Williams, a Briton, created and published a children’s book called “Make-up Girl”, asking young readers to guess a “treasure” burial place based on the words and drawings in the book. Treasure is a highly elaborate and expensive Golden Hare.
