小引:50年代遍兴春节庙会。湖北省沔阳县仙桃镇的庙会上,正演出荆州花鼓戏《考棚案》。该戏叙述了郭河镇赴省赶考的考生张习珍,在汉阳被谋杀、灭尸,由其妻侦案、破案、与昏官作斗争最后取胜的经过。不料在演出中途台下有人高叫:“不真实!”经问,原来是当事人潘享珍指出剧情错讹。本文作者当时为县文化馆创作干部,特请老人潘享珍口述了这段史实予以笔录。时在1954年春节,潘年过80矣。
