This award is for children’s book writers. His works must have both excellent literary and art skills and promoted the development of world peace. This award was founded by Jane Adams Peace Association in 1953. The Peace Foundation was established in 1948 to promote mutual understanding among the peoples of the world in order to avert a war as an educational branch of the International Alliance for Women’s Peace for Peace (founded in 1915)
