Our studies have shown that captopril has a significant inhibitory effect on primary and secondary lesions of adjuvant arthritis (AA) in rats. It is known that patients with AA or RA (rheumatoid arthritis) have reduced Ts cell function and/or numbers and an elevated TH/Ts ratio. Does Captopril effect through immunomodulatory effects, especially by affecting immune regulatory cells?
