葡萄的嫁接栽培,生产上一般应用不多,国外主要利用某些砧木对线虫的抗性,而国内仅少数地方用于抗寒抗湿栽培。1982年以来,笔者在上海市葡萄园艺界和原湖南省农学院柳子明教授(已故)的鼓励和支持下,开始试行葡萄的嫁接栽培,以求寻找出适于本地的砧穗组合,使栽培的品种(鲜食品种为主)达到具有丰产高抗,耐粗放管理,穗大粒大,味美色艳,较耐储运以及能调剂淡旺等综合优良性状的目的。
