党的十七届六中全会是中国共产党成立以来第一次由党的中央委员会全体会议部署研究文化建设和发展的重要会议,是我国文化发展史上具有里程碑意义的一件大事。全会阐明了中国特色社会主义文化发展道路,确立了建设社会主义文化强国的宏伟目标,提出了新形势下推进文化改革发展的指导思想、重要方针、目标任务、政策举措,充分体现了我们党高度的文化自觉、文化自信和政治上的远见卓识,是当前和今后一个时期指导我国文化改革
The 6th Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee is the first important meeting for the establishment and development of the culture studied and planned by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party since the founding of the CPC and is a major event in the history of the development of Chinese culture. The plenary session set forth the road of development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and established the grand goal of building a strong socialist country.
