[Objective] The research aimed to discuss the influence of harmful factors contacted by train locomotives on their work ability. [Methods] The meteorological conditions, noise, vibration, CO, total bacteria and illuminance in the operating environment of the observation group and the control group were measured. The dosimetry, visual motion response, target tracking and flash fusion critical frequency of locomotive crew and control group were tested Competency indicators. [Results] The steady-state noise intensity of working environment of observation group exceeded the relevant standard. The error rate of visual motion response in observation group was lower than that of control group (P <0.05). After stratified by length of service, error rate of dose operation, AYP and average response time were statistically significant (P <0.05). The observation group stratified by length of service, the indicators with the increase of seniority showed varying degrees of decline. [Conclusions] The increase of working age of locomotive flight attendants and the reduction of work ability may be related to the combined action of noise, vibration and other harmful factors.
