Commissioned by the Natural Gas Research Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy, the Institute of Economic Geology (University of Texas at Austin), the Exploration and Engineering Advisory Committee and Restech conducted a joint study of the Seeligson field in South Texas during 1988-1991. At the end of the project, a small piece of 3D seismic data was obtained. This article explains the method of interpretation and gives the final conclusions. These methods and conclusions may help to regenerate or discover similar hydrocarbon reservoirs in oil fields.
