严格来说,D505iS 并不是真正意义上的200万像素拍照手机,因为其采用了100万像素 CCD 摄影头,最大可插值到200万像素。虽然三菱 D505iS 是插值到200万像素,但是能提供22种拍摄模式,拍摄功能依然非常强大。该手机是由三菱电机生产,但是相机模块部分由富士胶卷生产。它是第一款支持200万像素的 i-Mode 手机。只能在日本使用。D505iS 采用折叠式设计,只配备了单一摄像头。手机打开时,摄像头朝内;手机合上时,摄像头向外。外显示屏采用1.1英寸64K 色 TFT 液晶屏,可以作为取景器使用。D505iS 内置了100万像素的CCD 摄像头,最大可拍摄960×1280像素的照片,且可插值到200万像素。随机附带16MB 扩展内存,用于存放照片。D505iS 选择 SVGA 超靓丽拍摄时,保存到内存中约需要6～7秒钟,比三菱的原有产品有所改进。
Strictly speaking, the D505iS is not a true 2-megapixel camera because it uses a one-megapixel CCD camera and can interpolate up to 2 megapixels.
