2009年12月22日“第四届中国期刊创新年会”公布了“新中国60年有影响力的期刊”评选结果,《环境科学》荣获“新中国60年有影响力的期刊”称号.此次评选,全国共有9 000多种参评期刊,最终有161种期刊入选.该评选活动是中国期刊协会、中国出版科学研究所为纪念新中国成立60周年,表彰和鼓励在政治、经济、文化、科技和社会发展领域中起到重要作用的期刊而举办的.
