The favorable socialism system of New China provided favorable conditions for the success of the female gentry. The reform and opening up policy and modernization in the new era and the fair competition mechanism in the market economy provided a more favorable objective environment for the knowledgeable women to display their talents. The transition of the economic system and the advent of a knowledge-based economy have made it more difficult for women to work.
