1988年10月31日,中国大陆拥有了自己的高速公路。沪嘉高速公路是204国道(上海至烟台)的入沪路段,从上海市区祁连山路至市郊嘉定县南门,是一条全立交全封闭设备全供汽车专用的高等级公路。公路全长20.5公里,占地宽45米,路面宽26.5米,中央有3.5米的分隔带,上下行各两个车道,两侧还有2.5米宽的硬路肩,供紧急停车用。这条公路首次采用了现代化的交通监控设施,全线设立了3个数据采集系统可采集到车速、车型和过路汽车数据。每隔一公里设有紧急电话,使汽
October 31, 1988, China has its own highway. Shanghai-Jiaxing Expressway is a section of Shanghai-No. 204 (Shanghai-Yantai) road leading into Shanghai. From Qilian Mountain Road in Shanghai to the south gate of Jiading County in the outskirts of Shanghai, Shanghai-Jia Expressway is a high-grade highway exclusively for automobiles with full automatic full-closed equipment. The road covers a total length of 20.5 kilometers, covers an area of 45 meters and has a width of 26.5 meters. There is a 3.5-meter separation zone in the center and two lanes of traffic on both sides of the road. There are 2.5-meter-wide hard shoulders on both sides for emergency parking. For the first time, the highway has adopted modern traffic monitoring facilities and has set up three data collection systems across the board to collect data on vehicle speeds, models and passing cars.
