应用糖化力试验表明,红曲菌能在不同淀粉的液体和固体培养基中生长并分解淀粉产生还原糖。红曲菌培养物滤液对乳酸菌的生长有促进作用,能延缓乳酸菌的衰老死亡;红曲菌与大肠杆菌试管内混合培养以后,两者有相互促进作用,这些与红曲菌的糖化作用有关,为其它细菌生长繁殖提供营养。红曲菌能在小鼠肠道内存活,其培养物滤液小鼠灌服LD50大于120ml/kg。结论,红曲菌有可能在肠道疾病的防治中发挥一定作用,在医疗保健领域有广泛的应用前景。
